What does a Chiropractor's education consist of ?
The Doctor of Chiropractic is uniquely trained to help the
body's natural healing ability by locating and correcting
nervous system interference. The following are the minimum
educational and professional requirements to become a licensed
Doctor of Chiropractic in most states:

1. Minimum of four years of undergraduate schooling with an
emphasis on sciences.
2. Graduating from an accredited Chiropractic College, which
consists of four years of additional schooling.
3. Successfully passing the extensive testing by the National
Certified Board of Chiropractic Examiners, to become nationally
certified.
4. Most states Have their own chiropractic state boards that a
chiropractor must complete before being issued a license to
practice.A chiropractic
educational program consists of four academic years of
professional education averaging a total of 4,822 hours of
course work. Several areas of study are emphasized during the
course of chiropractic education:
1) Adjusting theory, techniques and
spinal analysis
2) The principles and practices of chiropractic
3) Physiologic therapeutics

Biomechanics
5) Health care and Holistic care
The practice of chiropractic is licensed
and regulated in all 50 states in the U.S. and in over 30
countries worldwide. State licensing boards regulate, among
other factors, the
education, experience
and moral character of candidates for licensure, and protect the
public health, safety and welfare.
Doctors of chiropractic are trained to diagnose all conditions:
History taking and physical exam techniques
Appropriate use of laboratory and other tests such as M. R. I.
and x-ray
Doctors of chiropractic are educated, trained and licensed by
the practicing Dr.'s home state to treat all conditions,
diseases, or injuries in a manner consistent with chiropractic
methods and techniques.
Doctors of chiropractic provide treatment without drugs or
surgery: Prevention stressed, including wellness protocols such
as diet, exercise and lifestyle.
Natural Chiropractic approach includes nutrition, vitamins,
minerals, herbs and other options.
Typical Chiropractic treatment uses manual adjustments to spine
and / or extremities.
Chiropractic Physiotherapy and other soft tissue techniques are
also utilized.
Chiropractic inspired exercise and rehabilitation are prescribed
to enhance function and condition prevention.
